The Executive Team
As of July 2025, the day-to-day operations of Embers Basketball are led by the Embers Executive Team.
While the Board oversees the overall direction of the club - including governance, policies, and compliance - the Executive Team is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations, such as training, competitions, events, and communication with the Embers community.
The Executive Team:
-
Oversees key operational areas such as coaching, administration, programs, media, and partnerships
-
Reports directly to the Board and operates under its authority
-
May include individuals who also serve on the Board, though this is not required
-
Works collaboratively
The Executive Team is distinct from the Board and does not carry the same level of legal or fiduciary responsibility. However, some individuals may contribute to both teams in different roles, and are expected to manage any conflicts of interest appropriately.

The Hustle Society - Our Training Home
Embers Basketball trains at The Hustle Society, a community-run basketball facility in Western Sydney.
The Hustle was born out of a real need — like many community clubs, Embers struggled to find regular, affordable, and available training space. That challenge led some of our own members to help establish The Hustle in response, creating a space not only for Embers, but for the wider basketball community to train, grow, and belong.
While closely connected in values and mission, The Hustle is a separate organisation from Embers Basketball Incorporated.
