STORY
A growing community of people who mutually support, encourage and challenge one another on and off the court. Driven by our faith, sisterhood and basketball.
In 2013, nine young women, navigating a new phase of life where community connections were becoming harder to maintain, found themselves juggling work, family, and the fading routines of university and youth group. Yet, they all shared a love for basketball. Seeking a way to stay connected and continue their faith journey together, they formed a team.
They named it "Embers," inspired by the idea of being "little embers in an often darkened world."
What began as a small, simple idea has since grown into a vibrant community. Embers Basketball now unites people, who support, encourage, and challenge each other, both on and off the court.

In Winter 2025, we have four teams competing across two Associations - Hills and the City of Blacktown.
